I am all-too-familiar with the challenges that come with frequent moves, deployments, TDYs and trying to balance military life with your own dreams and passions. After four moves and three babies in four years, I became an accidental stay at home mom. I began a journey to find myself again and figure out how to love the life I was actually living, rather than the one I had imagined for myself. This summer we are working our way through the Milspouse Transformation Series, an entire series focused on small shifts you can make today as a military spouse, that can transform your life and lead to some really big results. Each week, we focus on one particular area of our life that will help us truly live a life that we're excited about, one with more meaning and less overwhelm.
There’s one aspect of our health and well-being that we haven’t talked as much about on the podcast. This is perhaps because we don’t always have great language for it. However, research indicates that it deeply impacts our mental and emotional well-being. So today we’re diving into our spiritual health.
I sit down with Dr. Sharita Knobloch (also a milspouse) to discuss her research on religion, spirituality, and military spouse mental health. I can’t wait to share this conversation with you!
